Engage your audience
Apple's office suite iWork costs $19.99 per app (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) on the Mac, but if you bought an OS X computer after September 2013, Apple will save you the $60 and give you the apps. In this topic, we share the direct download links to get for FREE iWork 2018 (Keynote 8.0.1, Pages 7.0.1 and Numbers 5.0.1 are selectable to download without Apple Store). Paid Plugins are shared to download for FREE at the end of the article. Keynote is a versatile and powerful application that enables you to create original slide show presentations by using intuitive tools and beautiful effects. Keynote can be purchased, downloaded and installed via the Mac App Store for $19.99. Keynote is available in numerous languages such as.
Create presentations that are interesting and engaging with Keynote.
Utilize the software to make school projects, work presentations, or to distribute information. Keynote understands that your presentation is unique to you or your organization. That’s why it feels good that they give you a wide range of tools to let your inner creativity loose.
You can create different free-form shapes, curves, and lines. Add a personal touch to your work with custom made shapes. Draw arrows to make your points stand out more. Demonstrate the trends of your graph by creating your own curve.
Choose from a number of pre-made templates if you’re in a rush and don’t want to make your own. Keynote provides some colorful and carefully-designed templates for you to work around. Polish off a presentation in no time, with the simple interface and ideas provided.
Keynote comes packaged with engaging graphics and animations. It has a helpful Magic Note tool that makes animations look effortless. This helps you bring your work to life with various animations that can either be created in Keynote or exported from outside programs.
Share your work in any format that suits you or your audience. Keynote can be exported in its original presentation form, or as an auto-play slide show. So your audience can sit back and let Keynote bring the show to them. Send your presentation as a PDF or word document as well, so all the critical information can be read easily.
Import presentations from PowerPoint and view them on Keynote. This enables you to watch presentations from non-Keynote users without needing to download any external programs. The only downside to this, however, is that Keynote presentations don’t work as well on PowerPoint. While you can still export presentations to PowerPoint, some graphics or animations may not function correctly.
Where can you run this program?
This software is designed by Apple for use with the macOS desktop and the iPad.
Is there a better alternative?
Yes. Keynote is impressive, but there are many alternatives that aren’t exclusive to Apple. Check out Google Presentations or Microsoft PowerPoint for similar tools.
Our take
Keynote is a simple, yet elegant way to create presentations and export them in various file formats. Its exclusivity to Apple products makes it less appealing than its alternatives, however.
Should you download it?
Keynote is already pre-installed on the MacBook, and you should definitely give it a try if you own one. On the iPad however, you’d be better off downloading Google Presentations.
